Chemistry
I am Blessing Emmanuel Obot, an undergraduate student of Chemistry at the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. My academic training has built a strong interest in scientific research, laboratory analysis, and the practical application of chemistry to real-world problems.
Through my coursework and laboratory experience, I have been exposed to analytical chemistry, quality control, laboratory procedures, and the industrial applications of chemistry. These experiences have deepened my interest in how scientific knowledge and technological innovation can be applied to address practical challenges and support sustainable development.
I currently serve as a member of the AgroSolar Technopreneurship and Innovation Centre (ASTIC) project, where our team is developing Solar Harvest, a solar-powered refrigeration system designed to preserve perishable agricultural products and reduce post-harvest losses. My involvement in this project has given me valuable experience in research, teamwork, innovation, and the application of scientific knowledge to agriculture and technology.
My goal is to continue developing my knowledge and skills in chemistry and scientific research while contributing to innovative and sustainable solutions that improve agricultural practices, reduce post-harvest losses, and support food security. I approach my work with a mindset of steady learning, collaboration, and turning ideas into practical results, and my long-term aim is to build a career in scientific research and innovation that contributes to sustainable development.
